A Place for the Mom, the Maker, and the Work

I’ve always made things. Journals, books, art, systems. It’s how I understand the world and stay connected to myself.

But when I became a mom — and kept working, and kept trying to live a creative life — I realized I needed a place to hold the full version of that story. Not just the crafts. Not just the parenting. Not just the work.

That’s what Dear EmmaLee is. A space where all of it lives.

What this space is for:

This isn’t a productivity blog or a parenting blog or a creative blog. It’s a little bit of all of those, because that’s what real life feels like. I write about the things I’m learning, the systems that are working, the routines that help me breathe, and the creative outlets that make me feel like me again.

I live in Boulder City, Nevada and work in entertainment in Las Vegas. I’m a mom who didn’t expect to love motherhood this much. I also didn’t expect to need creative expression even more now than I did before.

So here I am. Making space for the crafts… the thoughts; making space for the tiny joys and the weird overwhelm and the lists that keep us sane.
